Navy has fielded a lacrosse team since 1908. A rich and fascinating history includes 17 national championships and over 330 All-Americans. Navy lacrosse history also includes yours truly as a wannabe national champion who played a few minutes on the varsity in 1969. Consequently, Navy Lacrosse has a special place in Gottleib's heart and on his drawing board.

About the Artist: Michael Gottleib, Artist, illustrator, designer of the sport of lacrosse since 1974, has assisted with the early growth of lacrosse in both southern and northern California as player, referee, and founder of teams.
